The creators of Non Player Combat and Chloe Vs History will feature at the vastly expanded AI Creative Summit next month, alongside case studies on Sky/The Garden’s The Wargame and the forthcoming feature adaptation of The Call of the Wild.

The latter is one of the highest-profile generative AI projects to date, and producer David Barron (Harry Potter) and writer-director Simon Rumley (Once Upon a Time in London, Fashionista) will join nmatic.ai chief executive and founder Nick Price to discuss the project, based on the canine-led novel by Jack London.

Sky’s recent reality format The Wargame used AI to simulate conflict between the UK and Russian military, and Sky Entertainment Group chief operating office Caroline Cooper, The Garden creative director Nicola Brown and the show’s exec producer Jo Hughes will unpack the creative and editorial challenges of producing AI content that would have been prohibitively expensive using traditional methods.

The fourth iteration of the AI Creative Summit, which is brought to you by Broadcast, takes place on 11 November and will take over the entirety of the BFI Southbank.

AICS scales up

The scale and ambition of the event has been ramped up off the back of significant demand and the summit will feature three content streams, allowing delegates to select the sessions they deem most relevant.

AI Creative Summit director Charlotte Wheeler said: “This year’s summit will go deeper, showcase more groundbreaking work, and create more meaningful connections across the creative community. It’s no longer just a conference—it’s a destination for anyone serious about the future of AI in creativity.”

The full programme is available to view here and features actress Alice Krige (Chariots of Fire, Star Trek: First Contact) and director Andy De Emmony, who is currently directing Harlan Coben’s The Woods for Netflix in 2027, discuss how to protect human performance in the age of AI.

There is a case study on Non Player Combat – the world’s first AI-generated reality series where unscripted, autonomous characters drive the plot – and Jonathan Laramy, the creative behind AI-generated time-traveller format Chloe Vs History, will discuss the technology’s potential in children’s and educational content.

Meanwhile, a session on AI animation will see filmmakers Martin Gent of Buska Video and Jimmy Woolley of 404 Films outline how they are charting a course through an animation sector that is being rapidly disrupted by the technology.

The summit will also hear from top UK VFX studios on how they are adapting at a time when AI is rapidly changing the creative possibilities and costs of visual effects. Among the speakers are Framestore’s creative director for AI Theo Jones, Outpost VFX CEO Duncan McWilliam and nmatic.ai head of AI Carl Lyttle.
